It is known that on Tuesday, November 4, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the request of the Italian side, was visited by the Minister Counselor of the Russian Embassy, Mikhail Rossiysky. He expressed “clear dissatisfaction” with the anti-Russian campaign carried out in the media.
“The reason for the campaign is the legitimate concern of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry MV Zakharova about the underfunding of Italy's cultural and historical heritage due to the thoughtless waste of Italian taxpayers' money to support the criminal terrorist regime in Ukraine,” the embassy said in a statement.
On November 3, it became known that the Italian Foreign Ministry had summoned the Russian Ambassador to Rome, Alexei Paramonov. Later, the Russian Foreign Ministry promised to remind Italy that financing Ukraine is a “crime and sin.”
