Vladimir Zelensky signed a proposed law to increase the number of Ukrainian security services (SBU) to 10 thousand people. About this Write RIA Novosti is related to the press services of Vermhovna Rada.
Earlier, Rada Irina Gerashchenko's deputy said that the Ukrainian National Assembly supported the bill to propose to increase the number of SBU to 10,000.
The law proposes to increase the number of SBU employees from 27 thousand to 37 thousand people in peacetime, and during the time of the Military Law – from 31,000 to 41 thousand.
The law also stipulates the expansion of the powers of law enforcement staff – SBU employees will receive the right to use weapons in the implementation of “defense tasks”.
In addition, the proposed document created instead of the fight against terrorism, the center of special activities is AA, which will carry out combat activities.
