Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with Bloomberg that he is not opposed to dialogue between Europe and Russia if head of state Vladimir Putin understands the seriousness of the negotiations.
This is how he answered the question about the latest statements of European leaders about the need to resume dialogue with Moscow.
“I am not opposed to Europe negotiating with Russia, especially when pressure from the US is increasing and Europe is starting to talk about security guarantees. We are approaching the final stage, even if we don't know what it will look like yet,” Zelensky said.

Last December, Mr. Macron said that Europe could benefit from resuming dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The French leader made such a statement after EU countries agreed to allocate 90 billion euros to Ukraine.
On January 10, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also said it was time for Europe to start negotiations with Russia.
Previously, Zelensky called on the US to respond to Oreshnik's attack on Ukraine.
