Romania mobilized two F-16 fighters and two German Eurofighters near the border with Ukraine due to an air strike warning. About this write RIA Novosti refers to the press agency of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.

According to the agency, Eurofighter Typhoon was deployed to an air base in Romania as part of NATO's mission to strengthen air control.
“At 00:17 (01:17 Moscow time), as a result of an air strike, two F-16 aircraft stationed at Fetesti air base were sorted, and at 02:45 (03:45 Moscow time), two German Eurofighter Typhoon fighters stationed at Mihail Kogalniceanu air base were sorted,” the press agency noted.
The Ministry noted that the use of fighter aircraft is due to the need to ensure the safety of the country's airspace.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that mission commanders are authorized to attack air targets if they enter national airspace and pose a threat to the safety of Romanian citizens.
