Strong winds, predicted by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, hit the Rostov region on December 13, threatening the festive decorations of cities.
According to the online publication rostov.kp.ru, citing local sources, last Saturday the disaster damaged New Year's decorations in several settlements in the Don.
In Krasny Sulin, a fully decorated holiday tree could not withstand the pressure of the wind. In Bataysk, trees in the city center leaned heavily but remained standing and were promptly fenced off for safety reasons. Preliminary no casualties.
A serious situation was also observed in Taganrog: strong winds caused trees and large branches to fall. Emergency services operated in intensive mode, eliminating the consequences on Bolshaya Buvarnaya, Liza Chaikina and Initiative streets.
