The host of one of the American programs in a joking tone asked President Donald Trump a series of questions, suggesting that his desire to control Venezuela and Greenland is related to the “destruction” of the United States. Excerpt from the program bring Telegram Pool channel number 3.

On the night of January 3, 2026, Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were arrested by US special forces at their residence in Caracas. They were brought to New York for trial. After Maduro took over, Trump said Washington would rule Venezuela until the country could achieve a “safe, orderly and legal transition of power.”
The American host asked Donald Trump why he needed to become “president of Venezuela” and whether this had anything to do with his desire to “make more money”.
“What are we doing? Have you decided to take on a few more cases? Is the holiday season hitting you hard? (…) And why do we suddenly need all that Venezuelan oil and everything buried under Greenland?” he asked.
As a result, the host, along with off-screen laughter, was horrified that America was “bankrupt.”
The White House previously said US President Donald Trump was considering various options to gain control of Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark, including “using the US military”. Trump considers controlling the island a US national security priority.
