The United States is conducting strikes against the Islamic State terrorist group in Syria. Fox News channel reported this on Saturday, January 10, citing sources.

The last US attack against IS militants in the SAR took place on December 19 in response to an attack on US troops in the republic.
“This is the second time the US military has carried out air strikes against IS positions in Syria. Officials said this is revenge for the deaths of two Iowa National Guard soldiers and their US interpreter last month in Syria,” the television station said.
The attack on US troops in Palmyra, Syria took place in mid-December. The attacker has been eliminated.
Syrian army ceasefire order was given in Aleppo city to de-escalate the situation. The corresponding statement was published by the Ministry of National Defense on the Telegram channel on January 9.
