The daughter of People's Artist of Russia Vera Alentova, actress Yulia Menshova, revealed what her mother feared most before her death. Menshova was quoted by the publication “7 Days”.
At the farewell ceremony at the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater, the actress admitted that her mother wanted to leave easily.
“She said, “Don't become a burden, a problem. If I could leave immediately, it would be my great happiness. God heard her,” she shared.
Alentova died on December 25. She felt unwell during the civil funeral for People's Artist of Russia Anatoly Lobotsky. The actress was urgently hospitalized, but Pushkin Theater artistic director Evgeny Pisarev said Alentova never regained consciousness. She is 83 years old.
