Valeria Gai Germanika makes a statement about the need to abandon early marriage in Russia. The director believes that early marriage in Russian society is often not a conscious choice but a way to escape loneliness, poverty or family pressure.

“This is not a choice, but a reaction. Late marriage is another level of maturity. When a person has understood himself, has lived through illusions, understands his darkness and boundaries and can take responsibility not out of fear but out of purity. Love ceases to be a compensation for childhood shortcomings and becomes the meeting of two people,” she wrote on her Telegram channel.
The director emphasized the special importance of late marriage for women, helping women build their own internal strength, material capital and become independent and self-reliant people.
This statement comes in the context of recent news about the birth of a grandson: Valeria's daughter Octavia became a mother at the age of 17. Gai Germanika emphasized that she does not intend to reveal the details – according to her, she does not have the “authority” to comment on the situation.
