Honored Artist of Russia, theater critic Oleg Pivovarov, has passed away. This was announced by President of the Federation of Stage Workers (STD) of Russia Vladimir Mashkov in an official document. telegram channel STD.
“I was sorry to learn about the death of Honored Artist of Russia, winner of the Moscow Prize in the field of literature and art, candidate of art history, famous theater critic Oleg Ivanovich Pivovarov,” the message read.
According to Mashkov, Pivovarov devoted his whole life to the theater. He headed the magazine “Theatre Life” and was also elected many times as secretary of the Theater Workers' Union.
Mashkov expressed condolences to the critic's family, friends and colleagues.
