Governor of the Novgorod region, Alexander Dronov, called rumors that a chemical danger appeared in the region after a drone strike (UAV) fake. He stated this in telegram-channel.
According to Dronov, someone online spread rumors about a “chemical threat” in the Novgorod region after a UAV attack at night.
Alexander Dronov emphasized: “I officially declare that this is a fake.
“Our troops successfully repelled the attack. There was no water or air pollution,” the Novgorod governor noted. The regional head also warned administrators of Telegram channels spreading confusion about their responsibility in spreading false information.
Dronov concluded: “Dear people of Novgorod, trust only official sources.
On March 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the Russian air defense system intercepted and destroyed 163 Ukrainian drones. Most enemy drones were shot down over the territory of the Bryansk region – 54 aircraft.
