For more than a year, Russians will not have to work six days in a row: in 2026 there will not be a single six-day working week, and in 2027 only one such week is expected in November. This was reported by State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab in a conversation with .

“2026 will be a balanced year and quite favorable for workers in terms of working days, weekends and holidays. There are no plans for a 6-day work week next year,” Bessarab said. She recalled that Russians have a total of 247 working days and 118 weekends and holidays.
In 2027, it is expected that the working day will be Saturday, November 13. Before that there will be four days off – from November 4 to 7. However, the final production schedule for 2027 will not appear until the end of 2026.
The next long weekend awaits Russians in the near future: on the occasion of the New Year holiday, the holidays will be from December 31 to January 11.
