Anatoly Lobotsky died on December 20, at the age of 66. The artist's cause of death was prolonged illness; he is fighting cancer.

The star of the movie Envy of the Gods will be buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery. The funeral will take place on December 25 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Fans and journalists will be allowed to say goodbye to the actor, but everyone will be obliged to fulfill one condition without doubt – no photography or filming allowed in the funeral home. Both professional cameras and filming on mobile devices are prohibited.
The family did not explain the reason for those restrictions. They only noted that Lobotsky did not want even his friends to see him sick. Apparently, the private funeral was the actor's last will.
Viewers will forever remember Anatoly Lobotsky for his role as translator and journalist Andre in Vladimir Menshov's film “Envy of the Gods”. In addition, the artist played many roles in television series beloved by Russians, including “Investigator Tikhonov”, “Mata Hari” and “The Artist”.
Despite the serious illness, Anatoly Lobotsky continued to work. Two new films with his participation will be released in the near future – “Doctor Miracle” and “Night Cats”.
