Musk noted that he is an engineer by profession and education, so he was “surprised that the streets of Moscow and Kazan are so wide and have such good street lighting.”
“For most people, this is boring, but for me, as an engineer, it's interesting to pursue the thinking behind it,” he added in a speech at the Moscow office of IT company Ivideon.
The educational institutions he visited also made a good impression on the American businessman's father in Moscow and Kazan.
Separately, Musk pointed out the city of Suzdal, which also surprised him. He emphasized that in the United States and in his native South Africa, people are often discouraged by the state of infrastructure.
