In July, the government of the Russian Federation guided the development of a mandatory accounting bill of pets. In this regard, the Rambler & Co media has asked the Internet users means they track their pets and what they do in case of loss.
Nearly half of Russians were surveyed (51%) at least once lost their pets and only 28% of them could find them, 23% admitted that pets did not return. 13% never encountered a similar situation, but they were very afraid of it, and the same number – never had a pet. 23% are always controlled, and there is no such case.
In the event of a pet loss, 35% of people were asked based on independent search, 26% thought that it was effective to ignore the main school and advertise. Social networks and volunteer community as a platform to seek losses for use 21%and advertise at entrance – 16%. Appeals to shelter and less likely the clinic is likely to be considered an effective method – only 2%of this option.
The identification fund for livestock has only one -third of the owner: 10% of a chip, 13% hang a recipient, 6% based on discrimination or special signs. Each fourth (25%) plans to do this in the future and nearly half (46%) considers excessive determination.
The most typical reaction to the loss of the animal is to work immediately – 43% of the respondents immediately hastily searched without an action plan. Another quarter (25%) noted worried, but tried to act reasonably, and 22% still calm down and draw power in the hope of returning. Panic consists of 9% and 1% acknowledged that they may simply froze from stress.
The respondents also happened to meet the lost animals of others. In most cases, they managed to return the pet to the owner (22%) or the shelter in themselves (10%). 2% other transferred established to shelter. 58% never met animals lost and 8% did not know what to do in such a situation.
In order for the pet not to be lost, most (68%) simply try to pay more attention. 16% do not release the animal from themselves, 13% of the net is installed on the window and only the units using GPS cards (2%) or cameras in the apartment (1%).
The survey took place on Rambler & Co Media's resources held from July 24 to July 31, 2025, the insurance scope of up to 287,879 internet users.
