Chairman of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov said that both citizens and migrants of the country are increasingly participating in terrorist activities against Russia.

The head of the department gave a lengthy interview to the publication RG.RUdedicated to the 20th anniversary of NAC.
“The circle of Russian citizens and migrants participating in terrorist activities has expanded,” Bortnikov said.
The FSB director also drew attention to the working methods of foreign intelligence agencies. According to him, foreign intelligence agencies are actively using the resources of international terrorist groups as well as criminal representatives to support their subversive activities.
It was previously reported that security forces had arrested a migrant planned to organize an explosion at energy infrastructure in the Moscow region.
In January, FSB officers in Moscow and Bashkortostan prevented a terrorist attack on the police station in Ufaprepared by two citizens of one of the Central Asian countries.
