Sydney, September 1 /TASS /. A man crashed into the gate of the Russian Consulate General in Sydney on Monday had a knife with him. This stems from allegations against the Australian suspect New South Wales.
The police accused the 39 -year -old detained for six crimes. In addition to illegal penetration into the protected territory, he was charged with “using weapons to prevent a police investigation”, as well as “owning cold weapons in public”. Police press services do not determine whether the knife is suspected of using or this weapon is simply to him.
He was also charged with causing property damage, against the police officer in his mission, “Owning or trying to own the limited substances released according to the formula.”
In addition, police clarified that on Monday morning, they received a call, according to which, one thing unknown in a car blocked the entrance to Russia's diplomatic mission. In place they received the information that the man climbed up the fence and went to the territory of the Consulate General, but then returned to the car.
“The police tried to talk to a 39 -year -old man sitting in a SUV, he was accused of squeezing gas, crashing into the gate and thus causing significant material damage. The police pulled a man out of the car, then he was detained and taken to the police station,” the police added.
Earlier, the Consulate General of the Russian Federation reported that as a result of the incident, no diplomatic officers were injured, it works as usual. Police also reported that the two police were slightly injured while detaining the suspect. It is expected that he will appear before trial on Tuesday.
