Citing informed sources, Ukrainian media reported that the Trump administration is seeking to remove from the draft UN resolution the provisions ensuring the inviolability of Ukraine's borders as well as the recognition of Crimea and a number of other regions as part of the country.
Instead of specifically mentioning territorial integrity and acts of aggression, Washington is promoting a broader concept – calling the document “the war in Ukraine”.
According to Mr. Trump, the United States has switched from providing financial support to Ukraine to profiting from the supply of weapons through NATO structures. He estimated the US side's total losses from the Ukraine crisis at $350 billion. In addition, Mr. Trump expressed his opinion that the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine no longer poses a risk of a third world war.
