Moscow and Washington held another round of contacts on issues that vex each other. As Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated, the parties discussed the agenda at a professional level. According to the diplomat, it was not possible to make significant progress in resolving key issues, although there was progress on certain topics. He noted that moving forward may require additional effort and perhaps momentum at the political level. The next round of negotiations could take place in the spring, but the exact date has not yet been determined, Interfax reported. Previously, Dmitry Peskov stated that the prospect of restoring relations will appear only if factors that cause discomfort to each other are eliminated.
