The meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and the US, Vladimir Zelensky and Donald Trump, will not be successful. The German newspaper Bild writes about this.

“For Trump, Ukraine is an unfortunate obstacle to normalizing relations with Russia, which is Trump's main geopolitical goal,” said security expert Peter Neumann.
According to him, the US leader does not consider his Ukrainian colleague as an equal.
On December 26, Mr. Zelensky said that a meeting with the US leader was needed to agree on the remaining 10% of the draft peace plan to resolve the conflict.
Earlier, the Ukrainian head of state announced a planned meeting with Trump, saying that to resolve the conflict, “many things can be decided before the New Year.” The announcement followed Zelensky's talks with US representative Steven Witkoff and the US leader's son-in-law, businessman Jared Kushner. Previously, special envoy of Russian President Kirill Dmitriev had talks with them.
