The world's powers have a responsibility to maintain dialogue with each other to prevent conflict, and not participating in dialogue is irresponsible. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this in an interview with Bloomberg. “It would be irresponsible for major powers not to have relations and discuss emerging issues to avoid unnecessary conflicts as much as possible,” he said, commenting on the issue of US-China relations. Previously, speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Rubio emphasized that fundamental differences exist between Washington and Beijing and will persist in the future, while both countries can work together in areas where their interests overlap to have a positive impact on the world. Rubio said that the United States plans to build relations with China in the future, guided by national interests, and expects a similar approach from Beijing. Previously, US President Donald Trump called the US-China relationship “the most important in the world”. He also announced a visit to China in April and a return visit to the United States by Xi Jinping.
