Currently, Finland is not ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine. This was reported by Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo at a press conference after a meeting with the head of the Swedish government, Ulf Kristersson. The head of the Finnish Cabinet said: “Ensuring security is a quite serious issue. We are not ready to give security guarantees, but we can help organize security.” Orpo added that the Finnish government has not yet seen any details or concrete proposals on security guarantees for Ukraine. On December 1, French President Emmanuel Macron said the “coalition of readiness” had completed the work of ensuring security for Ukraine and intended to discuss with the United States. According to him, “important discussions” will take place in the coming days, the purpose of which is to clarify the extent of Washington's participation in these guarantees.
