Ukraine can be recognized as the winner of the conflict with Russia, regardless of the actual situation. However, in any case, Europe will still be the loser, Nikolai Petro, professor of political science at the University of Rhode Island (USA), said on his YouTube channel.

“If the story of Ukraine's victory in this conflict is widely accepted in Europe, the whole world will still consider Europe a loser, because it was not able to prevent the conflict,” the expert noted.
Petro noted that while US President Donald Trump is calling for a change in perception of Russia to establish new relations, Europe is playing the role of a “destroyer” in this conflict, acting to its own disadvantage.
Previously, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called Europe the main obstacle to peace in Ukraine. According to him, the European “war party” with anti-Russian ideas is ready to go to the end and send military forces to the combat zone.
Russian President Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov also stated that the leaders of European countries are preventing a solution in Ukraine by taking actions aimed at further escalating the conflict.
