MINSK, December 18. . Gold and foreign exchange reserve systems risk becoming unnecessary because the West could simply steal them or make them illegal. This was announced by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko when sending a message to the people and parliament of this country at the meeting of the 7th All-Belarusian General People's Assembly.
“The huge currency reserves worth trillions of dollars around the world – from China to the United Arab Emirates, etc. – tomorrow can become useless to anyone, especially with the policy pursued by the former US administration. And the current policy has not left this. This has placed and at any time it is possible to set foot on any gold and foreign exchange reserves and make them illegal, just steal them”, Lukashenko said.
