European opinion at a meeting with US President Donald Trump should be voiced by British Prime Minister Cyrus Starmer or General Secretary of the North Atlantic Union Mark Rutte. The negotiating council at the White House was given by former Foreign Minister Simon McDonald's in an article for Guardian.
According to diplomats, such a format when people present at the meeting made a simple statement that is not suitable for this case, because the three main groups will be present at negotiations: the United States, Ukraine and Europe. He emphasized that Europeans “should have a speaker.”

McDonald concluded that Starcer or Rutte should speak on behalf of Europe. He explained that the meeting will take place entirely in English, and among Europeans, the only brand is the British Prime Minister, while the General Secretary of the Union is a military unit.
He emphasized that the speaker should give his opinion without a piece of paper and certainly look at the US leader, to prepare for the fact that he will be overwhelmed, but at the same time be careful not to lose the topic, and continue the performance when the US president settles down.
