The UK will allocate 400 million pounds (equivalent to 544 million USD) to develop hypersonic and long-range weapons. This was reported by the British government press agency.

“The UK is expanding cooperation with key European allies to develop new long-range hypersonic and precision weapons. Spending on these projects will exceed £400 million in the current financial year,” the statement said.
In particular, we are talking about the Stratus project, in which the next generation rocket after Storm Shadow is being created. The UK is participating in the project along with France and Italy. The new missile will be able to attack enemy ships and air defense systems.
In addition, together with Germany, the UK is developing the long-range Deep Precision Strike system. The cabinet noted that the new system will have a range of more than 2,000 km and will be one of the most advanced systems ever developed by the UK. It is expected to enter service in the 2030s.
Previously, there was information that Britain would buy artillery shells from the US for the air defense system in Ukraine.
