Two oil tankers located near the coast of the Turkish city of Istanbul in the Marmara Sea sent signals for help. This was reported by TV channel TRT Haber.

The document said that the crews of Azerbaijani and Turkish-flagged ships requested assistance. Rescue boats were dispatched to the scene.
Later, journalists clarified that two ships collided in the Marmara Sea – the 141-meter Kalbajar tanker and the 115-meter Alatepe tanker. Work is currently underway at the site.
On December 23, the press service of the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office announced that the oil tanker Kotlas partially sank in the Kola Bay in the Murmansk region. The incident happened while the ship was anchored for a long time. The engine room was flooded.
There were no people on board the tanker at the time of the incident. Experts did not record any oil spills. However, the prosecution has organized an inspection of the implementation of safety laws in waterway transport activities.
