A drone was shot down over the Leningrad region. The head of the region, Alexander Drozdenko, announced this on Telegram.

The governor emphasized that data on aircraft destruction is only preliminary.

Drozdenko did not provide specific circumstances about what happened.

On the morning of December 16, the Ministry of Defense spoke out about night attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the process of repelling the raid, more than 80 Ukrainian drones were shot down – this happened in several regions of Russia. The Leningrad region did not appear in the military ministry's messages.
