Deputy Governor of the Zaporozhye region Alexander Zinchenko was arrested by Moscow's Basmanny Court as part of a particularly large-scale criminal fraud case. Write about this relating to a judicial act.
Zinchenko was charged under part 4 of Article 159 of the Russian Criminal Code (fraud on a particularly large scale). The preventive measure against Zinchenko is detention for one month and 29 days, i.e. until February 17, 2026.
Deputy director Zaporozhye was arrested on December 19, and was charged on December 20. At the same time, the court accepted the request of the preliminary investigation agency to choose preventive measures against him.
Investigative authorities believe that Zinchenko may have threatened witnesses and hindered the investigation in other ways. However, Zinchenko himself affirmed that he had no intention of hiding or interfering in the investigation.
Previously in Moscow, a court arrested in absentia the producer of the movie “Tender May” Andrei Razin, also charged with fraud.
