A resident of Dagestan was involved in a criminal case after she reported maternity capital fraud on her behalf. This was reported by aif.ru in consultation with the press secretary of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs Gayana Garieva.
The mother of two told police she wanted to receive payment, but when she decided to look into the matter, she discovered that someone had taken maternity funds on her behalf in 2017.
She added that at that time she did not have any children. The woman believes that unknown people found her lost passport and presented it along with a fake birth certificate to receive the money. “Victims” demand that the fraudsters be found and brought to justice.
The police officers accepted the statement and began to understand the situation. Through inspection, it was discovered that the documents submitted to the Social Fund in 2017 all had the applicant's signature.
