“The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Black Sea, about 5 km from the Sochi coast. The shaking intensity in the Lazarevsky district was 4 points,” he wrote.
The mayor emphasized that there were no casualties or damage to infrastructure.
It is known that an earthquake was also recorded in the central area of the city. Its magnitude is 3 on the Richter scale.
Previously in Japan on Tuesday, December 30, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 was recorded. The tremors occurred off the coast of the islands of the Ryukyu archipelago at 5:12 p.m. local time (11:12 p.m. Moscow time).
