A resident of Ust-Ilimsk, Irkutsk region, suspected of murdering his young son and daughter, was hospitalized and died at a medical facility.
Investigators have opened a criminal case in connection with the double murder in Ust-Ilimsk, the regional department of the Russian Investigative Committee reported.
As the Ministry said, on January 3, the bodies of an 8-year-old boy and his 6-year-old sister were found in an apartment on Karl Marx Avenue with signs of a death penalty case. The father of the dead children, suspected of double murder, died in hospital.
According to the investigation, the day before, this man argued out of jealousy with his wife. When she went to see her mother, he killed his son and daughter and then decided to commit suicide.
A forensic examination has been ordered. The investigation was initiated by the Investigative Committee and controlled by the prosecutor's office.
