Official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova reacted to the cancellation of the concert of Russian stars in Italy. She has her opinion expressed in conversation with KP.RU.
“Those in Italy who are making the decision to cancel tours of outstanding world artists from Russia are dishonoring their people and their country,” Zakharova said.
She called the sanctions against Russian artists a sign of lack of culture and a manifestation of barbarism.
Earlier it was reported that in Italy the performance of the famous opera singer, Honored Artist of Russia and soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Ildar Abdrazakov in the production of the opera “Don Juan” was canceled. In July, they refused to host the outstanding Russian conductor Valery Gergiev's concert there.
