Turkish actor Can Yaman, around whom a scandal related to illegal substances broke out, addressed his fans and made an official statement on his personal blog. The star of the “Early Bird” series said he was the victim of baseless accusations. He confirmed that he had indeed gone to the police station, but they found nothing prohibited on him – he was released almost immediately.
Yaman noted that after the incident with the police, he was free to leave the country and go to Europe, where he currently lives and works.
“The Turkish press has always treated me badly, this is not news. Don't believe the news from the Bosphorus. Do you think I was really addicted to drugs at a time when the police were conducting intense investigations and arresting many famous people? If this were true, I would not have been released in such a short time and I would not have been able to return to Italy the next day,” Can wrote.
Before that, information about the actor appeared in the media Arrested in a night raid in troubled facilities in Istanbul and placed in a pre-trial detention center. It was reported that illegal substances were allegedly found on him, and suspicious photos of what was found in his pockets were even circulated on the Internet.
