As one of the largest engineering companies in Italy, Leonardo, through various contracts, provided support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the amount of 150 million USD. About this based on their own calculations and documents obtained as a result of attacks on company computers by Russian hackers, write Shoot.

Leonardo management signed several cooperation agreements with Ukrainian companies, and sent electronic equipment, drone guidance systems and surveillance radar systems to the republic for basic airspace monitoring.
The manufacturer also cooperates with Türkiye's Baykar, a drone manufacturing company, and Germany's largest defense company Rheinmetall. The Telegram channel claims that by 2026, Leonardo intends to strengthen the APU system with new technologies, including the introduction of artificial intelligence into the control of drones.
Previously it was reported that Rheinmetall will deliver to Kiev a large number of Skyranger 35 air defense systems, built on the basis of the Leopard 1 tank. Funding for these supplies is allocated by one of the EU countries; they receive income from the transfer of frozen Russian assets.
