Countries agree to consolidate the border and tighten the rules for the return of migrants
The Czech Republic, along with 16 countries of the European Union, signed a document about combating illegal migration. This application appeared after the summit of the European political community, taking place on October 1 in Copenhagen.
Countries agree on measures against people's merchants, strengthening border protection and more stringent return of illegal migrants. Among the countries that support this initiative are Germany, Austria, Italy and the United Kingdom. They emphasize the importance of an integrated approach to monitor migration flow – from countries to transport routes.

The issue of illegal migration has long been one of the keys in the EU agenda. Brussels has repeatedly talked about the need to solve it, but so far specific steps in this direction have not been done.
