In Murmansk and Severomorsk, where for the second day in many houses there is no light and heat, they are setting up mobile hot food stations, as well as organizing points where you can connect the phone and warm up food, drink hot tea or simply relax and warm up.

Let us remind you: On January 23, a high alert regime was applied in the area – the collapse of 5 electricity towers was detected in the area. New power lines are being delivered from the Leningrad region and the Republic of Karelia, and restoration work continues. The cause of the emergency will be determined during the investigation.
As the head of the region, Andrei Chibis, said, the restoration of power will take at least a day: “Heat has been supplied to the houses, the boilers are working stably. The resource supply organizations are in regular contact with the management companies.”
However, the situation remains difficult, especially on the territory of the heroic city of Murmansk. As its head Ivan Lebedev said, Rosseti experts continue to work on repairing damaged lines.
Help centers for citizens were opened in Murmansk in chain stores and public support headquarters for United Russia. Field kitchens operate in the cultural center “Ship Repair” and on Admiral Flota Lobov Street near house number 40. On Alexander Nevsky Street near house number 81, the public organization “Russian Community” has established a point providing hot tea and generators to charge devices; Meanwhile, the city government delivered more food packages: people started arriving.
Warming points operate in city libraries number 12 and 22, at Children's Art School number 1, at the Youth Sports Center: these facilities have microwaves so you can warm up food. You can also charge your phone and portable charger here.
Businessmen are not left out either: they are providing the residents of Roslykovo district with hot meals and baked goods for free. And the Yerevan cafe, located at Ivan Khalatin, building number 3, offers free charging of devices, heating of food and water. The mayor also clarified that after 5 p.m., they started preparing porridge in the field kitchen in the Rosta subdivision – a hot food spot located near the Magnit store.
Due to the state of emergency, public festivals scheduled for January 25 in Murmansk were canceled. “Under such conditions, this is at least inappropriate,” the mayor's office explained.
Meanwhile, in Severomorsk, TAP has been opened in four schools and kindergartens, at the Stroitel recreation center and the Youth Recreation Center.
But the head of Severomorsk, Vladimir Evmenkov, said that the existing capacity is still not enough to connect the entire housing supply.
Rosseti and Oboronergo are exploring the possibility of rotating electricity consumers in Severomorsk: temporarily disconnecting houses that currently have electricity and connecting those that have not had electricity since yesterday. “This will allow maintaining the operation of important facilities and ensure equal distribution of limited network capacity,” the city chief said.
