US Vice President JD Vance will visit Yerevan and Baku next week. This follows a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The statement noted that US Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg will join the vice president in Milan, Yerevan and Baku from February 9 to 11. In Italy, the State Department deputy leader will celebrate the “outstanding achievements” of the US team at the Olympic Games.

“His (Helberg – Gazeta.Ru) trip to Armenia and Azerbaijan will contribute to President (US Donald) Trump's peace efforts and promote the Trump Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) program,” the press release said.
On February 5, Vance arrived in Italy for the Olympic Games. The vice president moved around Milan in a convoy of 45 cars and minibuses. More than 300 people ensured his safety. Accompanying him were Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and intelligence agents.
The American delegation stayed at the luxurious Excelsior Gallia hotel near Milan central station. Here, according to media reports, all four floors of the hotel were booked and turned into the US government headquarters.
