British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held talks with US President Donald Trump in which they discussed “strengthening security” in the Arctic region. RIA Novosti writes about this. Starmer emphasized that this area is one of the top priorities of the British government. “The leaders discussed the need to strengthen security in the Arctic and the Prime Minister said this was one of his government's absolute priorities,” the official statement said. The British Prime Minister's Office reported that in a conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Starmer announced that London is ready to actively participate in ensuring security in the Arctic. Previously, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that the kingdom is ready to discuss security issues in the Arctic with the United States, but will not allow its “red line” to be violated in the Greenland issue.
