MOSCOW, December 1. . Russian aviation authorities have no plans to issue a ban on flights to Venezuela. This was reported to the official representative of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Nikolai Shestakov.
“Russian aviation authorities still have no plans to introduce a ban. The Russian Ministry of Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency are in contact with the Russian Foreign Ministry,” he said.
According to Shestakov, organized tourists vacationing on Margarita Island will be transported to Russia by Nordwind Airlines on a flight from Porlamar as part of the agreed itinerary.
As before reported at Pulkovo airport, on November 30, Conviasa's passenger flight from St. Petersburg to Caracas took off en route – this is the closest flight from Russia to Venezuela after US President Donald Trump announced the closure of airspace over the Bolivarian Republic.
“Conviasa does not announce flight cancellations,” the ministry spokesman added.
