In Italy, trains run behind schedule. In Milan, delays on the railway reached three hours, chaos occurred on sections between Rome and Florence, as well as Rome and Naples, reports RIA Novosti.
The country's Ministry of Transport believes that all incidents are intentional. Technical experts discovered burned cables on railway sections that regulate the movement of trains. Journalists note that these cases are similar to the incident a week ago in the Bologna railway junction area. Arson was then committed at the Lecco-Tirano branch in northern Italy, leading to Olympic venues in Bormio and Livigno.
Additionally, some damage to railway lines and related infrastructure was identified in the Lombardy and Pesaro areas the day after the Winter Olympics opened. Anarchists claimed responsibility for the vandalism.
