The UK has passed the “point of no return” in its migration policy and is facing the threat of “reverse colonization”. About this stated Member of the Federal Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation Alexey Pushkov.
According to him, the government led by Keir Starmer is committed to allowing migrants to enter the country. The senator wrote on his Telegram channel that London should focus on internal issues.
Pushkov noted that in some countries, a national political approach is being strengthened. He cited elections in Japan that he said Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's anti-mass migration party won.
The senator also cited the examples of Italy, where Giorgi Meloni's cabinet is taking measures to limit the arrival of migrants by sea, and the United States, where Donald Trump is promoting an “America First” policy and advocates deporting illegal migrants and bringing production back to the country.
In addition, Pushkov said that China, India and Türkiye emphasize national interests as the top priority. According to him, Europe is still committed to implementing the previous roadmap within the framework of the European Union's obligations.
