Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' decided to remove Metropolitan Nestor, who held the post of Exarch of Western Europe, from office.

As reported on the website of the Russian Orthodox Church, the measure is related to the initiation of ecclesiastical judicial proceedings against the clergy.
By order of the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Nestor of Korsun and Western Europe no longer administers the Patriarchate of Western Europe, as well as the Korsun and Spanish-Portuguese dioceses and parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in Italy. Temporary leadership of the listed canonical structures was assigned to Metropolitan Mark of Ryazan and Mikhailovsky.
Previously, the head of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Nina Ostanina, suggested considering the adoption of a law that “offends the human dignity of women”. This is how she responded to the statements of the Archpriest of the Russian Orthodox Church Sergei Kulpinov, according to whom “a woman is a creature without a head”, the Telegram channel “Radiotochka NSN” recalls.
