NATO soldiers begin training off the coast of Italy. According to CBS Newsin which actions will be taken in the event of a possible conflict with Russia.

The exercise is called Neptune Strike and takes place in the Mediterranean. They were attended by US troops and nine other member states of the North Atlantic Alliance, including the United Kingdom, Greece, Poland and Türkiye. The military is practicing “long-range strikes on NATO's eastern flank against training areas near Russia.”
According to CBS News, the main purpose of Neptune Strike is to test the defense capabilities of key sea routes. Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, US General Alexus Grinkevich, said that the alliance must prepare for the possibility of simultaneous conflicts with Russia and China in 2027.
“We didn't take this into account, but we wanted to be prepared for any unforeseen situations,” he explains.
Previously, former assistant deputy head of the Pentagon Stephen Bryan accused the Ukrainian government of organizing acts of sabotage and provocation on the territory of NATO countries to draw the alliance into conflict with Russia.
