ROME, December 29. . Negotiations on a solution for Ukraine have progressed but open questions remain. This was announced by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni after a telephone conversation with other European leaders, US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky.
“President Trump and Zelensky outlined the results achieved in the current negotiations, especially on security guarantees, and pointed out open issues. Meloni reiterated the importance of solidarity at a time when some progress has been achieved during the negotiations,” the Italian Prime Minister said in a statement.
The need to respect the interests of Ukraine and its European partners was also pointed out.
