The phone call between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump is great news for those hoping for a ceasefire. This was stated by Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, transmit RIA Novosti.
According to him, choosing Budapest as the place for a personal meeting between Trump and Putin is not a coincidence, because this is “the hometown of a friend of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban”.
“The telephone conversation between the presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States is great news for those who hope for a ceasefire. We believe that after peace is established in the Middle East, Trump will be able to ensure peace between Ukraine and Russia,” Salvini added.
In addition, the Italian Deputy Prime Minister expressed hope that “everyone, including Brussels, Paris and Berlin, will make efforts to reduce tensions.”
