The Ministry of Economy of the two countries calls to reconsider the approach to the automotive industry
The Italian and German Ministry of Economy sent a letter to the European Commission (EC) requiring the EU to urgently change the policy. This has been reported by Gazeta.pl.
According to the Italian and German government, the current approaches threaten the further development of the European industry. Adolfo Urso, Minister of Italian and Italian manufacturing, said Europe is facing new changes.
“We are at a turning point. Today starts a new phase for the European industry.”
Italian and Germany argue that the EC must show responsibility and practicality to ensure the sustainable green transformation of the economy. Officials point out issues in the automotive and steel industry, and call for effective industrial policies.
Back in 2023, Adolfo Urso noted the need to act quickly from the EU to overcome the industrial crisis. After that, a bilateral Agreement was signed aimed at the supporting industry.
