Faker became League of Legends world champion for the sixth time – he has three titles in a row

29-year-old Korean e-sports athlete Lee Faker Sang-hyeok with T1 won the world championship League of Legends 2025 in China. This is the sixth World championship of his career.

Faker won the championship in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2023, 2024 and 2025. At the same time, Faker and T1 won the World Championship for the 3rd consecutive year. This was the third title for Gumayusi, Keria and Oner, and the first for Doran.

This year, T1 started its journey from the play-in round when it won 4th place in the Korean LCK tournament. On their way to the finals, Team Faker took down two of China's favorites – Legend Anyone and Top Esports. And in the deciding match, T1 defeated KT Rolster with a score of 3:2.
