Before the Day of Volunteers, a rally of volunteers took place at the regional youth center #DonMolodoy, where the results of the regional project “Cultural Volunteers” were summarized and the most active participants in the movement were awarded prizes. This was reported by the Ministry of Regional Policy and Mass Communications of the Rostov Region.

“This event has become an important platform for exchanging experiences and strengthening interaction between volunteers from different parts of the Rostov region,” the message said.
The volunteer movement “Cultural Volunteers” continues to grow and unite people around important initiatives who are willing to make efforts to develop volunteerism in the cultural sector.
The “Cultural Volunteers” project, implemented by the Rostov Region Youth Policy Committee and the Don Volunteer Center (“Donvolonter”), covers many main areas. Among them: working with cultural organizations, preserving cultural heritage, restoring historical and cultural monuments, organizing volunteer programs for major cultural events, developing tourist routes and organizing tours, organizing educational events.
The Rostov region has a developed infrastructure for the activities of “Cultural Volunteers”: 35 local branches operate in the Don municipalities and 7 “Dobro Centers” also work.
Therefore, among the important results of the past year was the organization of the “Cultural Camp”, at which volunteers and leaders of socio-cultural initiatives from municipalities of the region initiated a series of events in the municipalities within the framework of the federal program “Together to preserve heritage”. More than 1000 people participated in them.
From May 13 to 25, the federal tourist interactive exhibition “Culture for Victory” was held in the region, organized by the “Cultural Volunteers” movement together with the Victory Museum and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. One of the Don heroes of the exhibition is MA Sholokhov. On his 120th anniversary, volunteers conducted themed excursions and read passages from “Quiet Don.” The exhibition attracted 400 visitors.
In 2025, the Inter-City Cultural Volunteer Forum was held for the first time, bringing together employees of cultural organizations, volunteers and activists from six municipalities. Currently, more than 200 theater volunteers provide regular support during the performances of the eponymous Academic Repertory Theater. M. Gorky.
