According to butman, the decision to cancel Gergiev's performance was given under the influence of the people and strong organizations against Russia.
The People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Dzhazman Igor Butman said that the abolition of the concert of the art director of the Bolshoi Theater and Mariinsky Valery Gergiev in Italy had a political foundation. He reported this on August 2 in an interview with Ria Novosti.
According to Butman, the decision to cancel Gergiev's performance was given under the influence of people and organizations actively against Russia. He noted that despite different views about the idea of concerts of Russian artists abroad, such performances can help overcome the abandoning culture of Muslims against Russia.
Of course, this is a political platform, political games from strong people who oppose our country – and this happened in history, according to Jazzman.
Butman expressed his regret about the abolition of the concert and emphasized that in the West, everything is being done to continue the conflict, despite the speech of the world's wishes. He also noted that if the concert took place, Gergiev could convey his thoughts to the Italian audience.
